Was Jim Riggleman a good skipper on a bad club? Maybe we can get him if we don't bring Collins back, but I'm almost certainly thinking no
First off, Collins signed a 2-year contract. Secondly, why wouldn't you want him back? He's given the front office, fans and from what I can tell - the players - no reason to not want him back.
Brooklyn to Denver to L.A. to Denver and back to L.A.

Agreed, and Riggleman is nothing special at all, I'd pick Collins over him any day.
I blame the medical staff, obviously they botched something. The trainers and coaches should have been able to see that as he walked from the bullpen.
I blame Mike Pelfrey. For being "mentally fragile" and unable to call off fielders loud enough in a roaring stadium when each of the fielders is yelling "I got it" at each other.

To be fair I had reservations about Collins before this year. He was known for walking away when things got tough, but that was years ago and he seems to have changed just enough that he still has the fire but might not burn out from it.
