You could just call up a minor league outfielder from A ball to make those plays.

Based on listening to the game strictly on radio, we should be busting this game wide open.

    Why do we hold back?????

He did score on that balk in Milwaukee, too. Give the guy credit where it is due.

Jason Bay better be in the home run derby.

Look at that power. A lesser player wouldn't have been able to get that past the mound.

Bay honestly needs to go to AAA. Does his contract allow that?

    Per baseball reference:

January 5, 2008: Traded by the Chicago Cubs to the New York Mets for Corey Coles (minors) and Ryan Meyers (minors).

He was initially drafted by the Mets in the 4th round. He did not sign and went to a JUCO in Florida. He signed a week or two before the next draft as a "draft and follow". His bonus was +/- $400,000 I recall.

I don't recall how he left the Mets.

He was reaquired from the Cubs for an OFer named Corey Coles - who had similar skills - but was in Class A-ish, and I think a pitcher whose name I don't recall. Coles was a mid-round pick, maybe as high as 4th.

baseball-reference.com should have the particulars for you.

"The 90 wins is about challenge. It's about changing the conversation. It's about framing questions for ourselves as to how we get there. So I stand by the notion that we need to get better, and in doing so we need to set concrete goals for ourselves so that we have sort of specific conversations among ourselves about how we're going to get there." -- Mr. Alderson

With his permission. Same as Ollie.
