Well, goalie coach Arturs Irbe will not be returning as the goalie coach this season. I don't think he did a bad job, but definitely could have been better.
Seems like this is the end of Varlamov for sure.

Once Neuvy got the contract extension, I always felt like Varly's fate was sealed. More so now with the way Holtby has played.

What this means.
1. Varlamov is gone before the season starts.
2. Neuvirth is the starter.
3. This might be the Olie Kolzig show for goaltending coach.
I think this is actually a reasonable prediction. Kolzig has been around much more than he was for a few years there after we got rid of him. He is probably looking for a job within the organization and he is obviously looking to get his number up in the rafters.

I'd definitely be okay with Kolzig as the goalie coach, as long as he doesn't have the goalies not show up in the finals
