    2011 Draft

So now that we got the team and sold out in record fashion time to switch our attention to the team finally! With the draft coming up im curious to see what everyone thinks we should do with our 7th Pick or how you see the top 10 going down. Its pretty obvious we need a center of some sorts ill be more then happy if we get Ryan Strome, Sean Couturier or Jonathan Huberdeau with Strome being my first choice.

    Here's my top 10

    1 Edmonton C Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
    2 Colorado D Adam Larsson
    3 Florida C Jonathan Huberdeau
4 New Jersey D Dougie Hamilton
5 NY Islanders RW Gabriel Landeskog
    6 Ottawa C Sean Couturier
    7 Winnipeg C Ryan Strome
    8 Columbus C Mikah Zibanejad
    9 Boston D Duncan Siemens
    10 Minnesota D Ryan Murphy

If I was the Jets, no. And, I'd love to see Winnipeg draft Ryan Strome or
Couturier. The Jets really need a centre, and have for quite some time. They really haven't had a number one centre since Marc Savard left many years ago.

Up in just a few picks. The crowd looks awesome in Winnipeg.

The Jets are going to get a very good player with their next pick.

I really don't like that pick to be honest.

For sure. I'm very surprised by this pick, and really don't understand it.

He had 76 points in 66 games with nobody on his team... This could be the steal of the draft!! He wont make the team next year but should turn out to be really good once you put talent next to him such as ladd, kane, little, etc. I'm happy!

It's not that he's bad, but I just feel that there was a bit better talent left. I've been hoping this was the team that moves to Winnipeg for a few years now. I've always been a fan of this team, since their Savard and Hossa days. Ladd, Little, and some of these other players are really going to get the credit that they deserve.

Today in the second round Winnipeg has selected Adam Lowry, and Brennan Serville.

I didn't like the first round pick with Court, Murphey and Hamilton still on the board

I really don't think Ryan Murphy would have made any sense. Winnipeg already has Buff, Enstrom, Bogasian, and Oduya. Those are a good enough top four, where they can all put the puck in the backend. Buff already lacks a good defensive game.
