    Cheveldayoff accepts Winnipeg GM job!

Looks like it will be announced tomorrow sometime. Good to hear Cheveldayoff got his time in the sun finally. Kinda sucks for the 'Hawks though. Guess that's what happens when you win a Stanley Cup, everyone wants your players and office people.

    Congrats Chevy

Good for him. Interested to see what moves he makes. Too bad he didn't go to the east so we could get a trade pipeline going with him. The Thrashers/former Thrashers really like former Hawks front office guys!

Perhaps since the Winnipeg Whatever-They-Call-Themselves will be in the East at least one more season he can thank the Bowmans and John McD with a nice salary saving trade.

From what I understand they'll be coming to the Western Conf. but that would be nice if the NHL waited a year to move them, and Chevy made a nice salary cap trade with us come the Entry Draft in a couple weeks or the Summertime Christmas starting in July.

Here's another article about Chevy accepting the Winnipeg GM job. Even though I pretty much already confirmed it for everyone:

IIRC the league announced when the deal was official that it was too late and the 2011-12 schedule had already been made

Congrats to Chevy on the new job! And Chitown is right the new Winnipeg team can't move to the West until after next year since the schedule and everything is set for next season

Thanks for clearing that up Chi. So Winnipeg stays in the East, is there any chance Chevy helps out the 'Hawks with a trade or something and if so...who's on Winnipeg that Stan would want?

And PLEASE people don't say Andrew Ladd cause it isn't going to happen, as much as we'd all like to think and dream Ladd'r will one day rock the Indian head sweater.

And seriously Hawks.No27...every time you have that as your photo I am beyond jealous. I've lived in Chicago my whole life, played hockey since I was 3, been a diehard Blackhawks fan my whole life...I pray that I get that opportunity!
