On Thursday afternoon, the Irish landed a commitment from four-star running back KeiVarae Russell of Mariner High in Everett, Wash.
“The more I thought about it, the more I realized that was the place for me,” Russell said of Notre Dame. “It was the total package of what I was Looking for.”
Russell chose the Irish over in-state Washington. He also held offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Oregon State, Purdue, Stanford, UCLA, Utah, Vanderbilt, Washington State and Wyoming.
The 6-foot, 175-pound athlete took his official visit to Notre Dame in October for the USC game and he left quite impressed.
