I hope I'm wrong but I don't think the Pens will resign Kennedy. I have a feeling he is going to get an offer on July 1st that the Pens can't match and that he can't refuse. Then again maybe they will get a deal done before then.

I also see Rupp resigning and Jagr being brought in. I don't do well predicting lines because I don't really pay attention to LW and RW but I'll give it a shot.

    Kunitz - Crosby - Neal
    Malkin - Staal - Jagr
    Cooke - Letestu - Tangradi
    Rupp - Adams - Dupuis/Jeffrey

Jagr will be kept rested and not play back to back days and get the occasional day off during busy stretches.

By the way Tomahawk I don't get the realignment talk either but the NHL seems to b leaning towards only having two divisions in each conference.

To be fair the writer of the article suggested that a cry to even the conferneces would probably happen and that could ultimately lead to expansion in places like Seattle and Milwaukee.

I actually think the way to go would be to contract two teams like Phoenix and Nashville.

Rumor going around that the Pens have moved on from Rupp and are now focusing on Asham.

It is being reported that the Penguins have signed Jagr.

    http://gazeta.ru/sport/2011/06/a_3680105.shtml

Supposedly in there somewhere it says the Pens have signed Jagr. It is a legit Russian newspaper. If anyone can read Russian please provide us without a recap of what it says.

Update: The paper is reporting he signed a 1 year deal for 1.4 million dollars.

Note of Caution: When it comes to signings of these nature European and Russian newspapers tend not to be the most accurate.

The Pens signed Asham to a 1 year deal worth 775k:

Honestly hate this signing, as it would now seem that Rupp will not be resigned. I guess he will play on the 3rd or 4th line depending on what happens with Jagr and Kennedy.

The article also mentions that Jagr will make his decision tomorrow and not tonight. I have no idea what this means, if anything. If I had to guess, I would say this is not good in terms of him returning. If he were sold on coming back, he would have already made his decision. Not to say he wont, because I still think he will, but it just seems odd

Wasn't a big fan of Asham, I would have prefered Rupp or Talbot. I guess Asham takes Rupp's spot on my projected lines.

I love the Asham signing now i really want to resign TK and get jagr signed i believe we will get both. TK's agent said he is still hopeful to get a deal done with pens expected to come tomorrow i would be so happy to get jagr and keep TK.

I think the Asham signing officially ended the Talbot and Rupp eras here in Pittsburgh. I would have had either of them over Asham. I dont know if I have ever hated a signing more

I imagine today is going to be a busy day. I'm not going to be around though so the big board is going to have to wait to be updated. Everyone feel free to post the happening of today in here.

Glad they resigned TK but the Jagr fiasco was a complete embarassment. Jagr deserves his fair share of the blame but so do the Pens. They should have yanked the offer Wednesday when their "deadline" passed. Oh well it worked out for the best I suppose.
