No, he's greedy and told the pens he'd have a decision by Wednesday, then Thursday and then Friday. He's not a man of his word and he's a greedy tool.

If he really cared and wanted to stay true to his word, he would have given them an answer by the Wednesday deadline. The fact that Shero let the offer stand until Friday when he retracted it was far more generous than he should have been. He signed with them for one of the reasons I listed earlier
The bottom line is Shero made a mistake by not pulling the offer Wednesday but he did a good job rebounding from his mistake. Thats what good GMs do. They make mistakes, learn from them and go do something to fix them.
