First Dodger Stadium rainout since 2000?

Dodger Stadium has not had a rainout since April 17, 2000. A storm system moving into Southern California is supposed to drop about an inch of rain on Tuesday.

Here is a list of all the rainouts in Dodger Stadium history:

    4/21/67 vs StL
    4/12/76 vs SD
    9/10/76 vs Atl
    9/11/76 vs Atl
    5/8/77 vs Phil
    5/9/77 vs Phil
    8/17/77 vs SF
    4/15/78 vs Atl
    9/5/78 vs SF
    4/11/82 vs SD
    8/18/83 vs NY
    9/24/86 vs SD
    4/19/88 vs SD
    4/20/88 vs SD
    4/21/88 vs SD
    4/11/99 vs Col
    4/17/00 vs Hou

    Total rainouts by month:
    April: 9
    May: 2
    June: 0
    July: 0
    August: 2
    September:4

As you can see, it's extremely rare to have a rainout after the month of April. In fact, there hasn't been a non-April rainout since 1986. And there hasn't been a rainout during the month of May since those back-to-back rainouts back in 1977. We'll have to keep our fingers crossed on this one.

Went 11 years between rainouts (88-99)....correct me if I am wrong, but in April of 1992, didn't the Dodgers have to reschedule a game (maybe even the series) against the Expos due to the riots?

I remember the Clippers had to play their home playoff games against the Jazz down in Anaheim that week, and the night the riots broke out the Lakers were playing at the forum....literally when the city was torched that night....that had to have been an uncomfortable ride home that night for those at the game!

Good...any day we don't cough up another W to another team is money in the bank.
And also one more day I don't have to look at that morbidly obese cement block Fielder.
I wonder which Dodger the "tough guy" will go after this time?
He backed off Kent...maybe someone like Jamey Carroll....

It sucks when threads like this are started.....nothing to talk about....sucks to be a Dodger fan right now....

There's a pretty good chance of a rainout this upcoming week. It's been 12 years since the last Dodger Stadium rainout.

If i does rain on Tuesday, it will most likely be on Tuesday night. As long as it's not during the afternoon when the game is on.

I know we need it but man the rain sure bums me out..It seems to only rain on weekend baseball days. I still play on Sundays and weve been rained out a couple times already this season...I hope the rain stays away and games can be played and watched!!!!

    Go Dodgers!!

It doesn't seem like we're going to get the game in tomorrow. This storm is going to be wetter than the previous one.
