I dont think Chicago really wants OJ now because they have Rip Hamilton, who can play off the ball (a perfect compliment to Rose). I would love to get Speights for Henry. If they would do that i would pull the trigger real quick.

know for a fact larry Bird from the pacers..would still be interested...

Do you guys have interest in Beas, Martell, or Wes Johnson from the Wolves for Mayo? I personally would love it and my understanding is that you guys would lose him in the off season.

The only way we can trade mayo is if he accepts our qualifying offer for 7mil after this season, and I don't really see that happening. Also, if he did accept the qualifying offer I'm not sure our FO would even want to trade him for Asik regardless of whether or not we lose him at the end of next season.

It'll be a shame if we do lose OJ and Speights this offseason..Deep down I just know somebody will offer them much nicer contracts than we can...It'll be exciting to have Darrell Arthur back for cheap though! We'll probably be able to bring Arenas back for cheap too..the guy has been so great with our team...unbelievable..

I think if we did a S&T with Mayo we are getting way more in return, but i do beleive he will not accept a QO. Speights is retainable, but if Arthur comes back to what he was i would rather let Speights go and sign Cunningham long term for cheap (4 yr deal). Arenas is likely to come back and play but he might chase the all mighty dollar.


In a perfect world we win a championship and we resign Mayo with all the others sacrificing for the team and taking pay cuts!!!

Mayo and Asik are in the exact same position. If both teams are willing to offer new contracts for both guys, then a trade could work. Say, Grizzlies sign Mayo for 4 yrs/$38 mill, and the Bulls sign Asik for 4 yrs/$25 Mill. Throw in a first round pick from the Bulls to the Grizzlies and a filler, i think this would help both teams.
