help!!!!

okay so i was trying to watch inception online got a virus called think point and so i turned my computer off when i turned it back on all there was is a black screen and a white dash on the top left i can not get into safe mode ive been told that my windows/ hard rive has crashed
i have also been told to go to best buy get a windows 7 disk put it in my disk drive and it will be as though i had a new computer
i am willing to buy one but i need to be sure that it works right
also my computer did not come with a disk
does anyone here know how to help my situation?????

so you cannot boot to anything? If your going to reinstall windows(that sounds like what you want to do), you already have the license for it. a sticker should be on your computer somewhere. you can download win7 to a flash drive and install it back on your computer from that. when it comes to the activation screen, enter in the serial from the sticker. (this will save you from purchasing windows 7 again, but is also pretty easy to mess up if you have no clue what you're doing)
