    Portable SNES announced

    http://gear.ign.com/articles/116/1161572p1.html

Thought this was kind of neat, Yes, i know we have emulators and stuff for this now, but the thought of playing all my old SNES cartridges while on the road is appealing to me. just thought id share.

That's sweet. I never had a SNES though. I got Sega Genesis instead.

    meh kinda dumb IMO

you could just get a PSP and get every SNES game you want for free...or on your laptop

Most of the cool SNES games are rare and cost a **** load

Im curious what the price will end up being... Im assuming relatively cheap due to the lack of games available this day and age. and its gotta be relatively cheap to produce since its older technology. either way its kinda neat, the ports and roms just aint the same. it would be weird using a snes controller again lol.

props to VCU for the sig!

    What he said.

Get a PSP with custom firmware and it's your personal portable emulator.

How are the controls on the PSP? I've had emulators on my iPod and Droid and the controls aren't very comfortable.

Pretty much the same as the buttons positioning are the same. You can map your buttons on the psp so you can have it how you want it.

It's a lot more comfortable especially since there a) is a directional pad/joy stick b) there are actual buttons instead of touch screen.

Not a bad idea, but like most people say, you can get a PSP with custom firmware or have an emulator on your laptop. Looks cool though.
