Alright, it's that time of year again. Go big or go home. Rangers are a deceptive #8 seed. Took 3 of 4 meetings against the Caps this season and finished with a record of 44-33-5. With Lundqvist in goalie this will be a good series. NY doesn't forget what happened in 2009.

On the other side of things, the Caps have been playing well lately. Since their shutout loss (6-0) against the Rangers in late February, the Capitals have won 16 of a possible 20 games and have captured the top seed in the conference. The team has also learned that being the top seed means absolutely nothing - case in point 2010.

Should be an excellent series. I think it goes 6 or 7 games. Playoffs are intense. Here's a link to the game preview for the opener: Game 1 Preview

Problem I have, is I honestly don't believe they understand that the top seed means nothing. They said that after the Penguins if I recall correctly, then we lost to Montreal. They've been saying the same this year.

The one problem is, we didn't have Mike Green playing with us and Wideman had been, Wideman is now gone and Green is back. I don't mind Greens offense, even though he's been missing in the playoffs much like Semin, but at the same time I don't mind his attempt at playing defense.

Hopefully Arnott can help these guys out being he's a proven winner, much like it appears Werth has been doing with the Nationals and they can get this series done.

As said, I really see them falling in six games, I just see the Rangers being the better team this go around, but hopefully I'm wrong. As said as well, if they beat the Rangers, I could see them going the whole way.

    Lets do it!

I think they're gonna come out motivated after choking away the past few years, Caps in 5.
