I see a lot of mock drafts having you guys picking a center. I wonder if that would make Mcgee expendable. It seems like this team is missing a back-to-the basket type of scorer, but seeing Derrick Williams & Wall together would be nice.

Enes Kanter should be who the Wizards draft.

Allow Blatche to be moved, possibly get a later 1st for him. Which will give Wizards a total of 3 (remember the Hawks pick in Kirk trade) draft picks. Use the other 2 to get a SG and SF.

It sounds like a good idea, but if it's a late 1st, then they're dealing with a team who in contention for a championship. I can't think of any of the top 7 or 8 teams in the league who would want to lock up 7 or 8 million a year for 4 more years for a bench player who can't play defense.

The Spurs might be interested in replacing McDyess and his $6.5mill. Boston is paying a ton to both J. O'Neal and Rasheed Wallace and might want a younger and healthier option off the bench at the same price. The Knicks could also use some height after trading their whole team away for Melo and they only have around $45mill in salary locked up next season. I could see those 3 teams having some interest just off the top of my head. I think Blatche would be more productive for these teams than anything they would draft in the mid-late 20's like Jordan Williams, Jeremy Tyler, JaJuan Johnson, or Jon Leuer

Hopefully, they get a chance to land him. Last week, we were tied for 3rd in the ping-pong hopper and now we're possibly 6th if we beat Cleveland on the road. Not good.

I think with Irving, Barnes, Kanter, and Williams all as top 5 picks in the draft we should have a good shot at landing him as long as we don't land too far away from the #1 spot when the lottery goes down.

If we land Kanter though I have a question for you guys...

I really like what McGee gives us when he's on the floor. His shot blocking is ridiculous, he brings a lot of energy and his ability to run the fast break and finish above the rim is a perfect compliment to the way Wall and Crawford play. With that being said we need to add a true big man under the basket, so if Kanter is there I think he is the selection for us. If we draft him though can we find a way to play both he and McGee on the floor together? When I think of McGee at the 4 I worry about his lack of offensive range. Is Kanter a player that can play the power forward position though or is he more of a center? Could he still play PF on offense but match up defensively with opponents centers?

I'd just hate to see Javale get sent to the bench after making such a big improvement in his game this year. He's had some amazing games on the glass and his offensive game although bit unorthodox, is actually improving. Plus, he dunks so much that despite his ugly mid range jumper he's still shooting 54% from the floor.

Kanter is a natural PF. Hes not one of those soft Euro prospects either, the kid likes contact. Hes not a 3pt shooter (who cares), but he has a good mid range game. He does have a post game and some decent athleticism. The only concern is health.

I do worry about his injury history but with so many players going back to school next year (Jones, Sullinger, Barnes, etc.) I don't know who will be there when we pick. If we end up at 4, 5 or 6 who will be left for us to select? Seems like our choice is going to either be select a PG/SG where we don't have as big of a need or draft a european player who is 7 feet tall but wants to shoot 3's all day and will need time to develop before they have any impact. What a bad year to be a bad team

If we don't get a top two or three pick I think we need to try to trade the pick for a future first (from a bad team) for next years draft as next years draft is stacked and this years is very weak

I see the wizards taking PF Donatas Motiejunas with their pick. He's compared to Dirk, can go either inside or outside. His only problem is his weight, he's pretty skinny for his position but I like him a lot. I watched a lot of clips of him and he's dirty. If they take him I see them moving Blatche for another draft pick or another piece possibly a decent SF, that's what I would like. But, if somehow Derrick Williams is still there when we have our pick, YOU CANNOT PASS ON HIM! Jwall, Jordan Crawford, Derrick Williams, Blatche(hopefully move him), and Mcgee thats a pretty damn good lineup.
