^^^ What a pass by Frolik.

Solid game by the Blackhawks and a great game by Crawford and the defense. Crawford was barely challenged (credit to the defense - thank you Campbell for coming back and getting rid of Scott!) but it is a great confidence boost to get a shutout, no matter who you play.

How dare you, you come into the Blackhawks forum and throw around words like "well" and "suck" ? I'm gonna let the Flyers forum know, they won't take kindly to another fan in another forum.

As Foley said repeatedly, these were two MUST HAVE points in tonight's game. Nice effort. Hawks just cannot shake the injury bug this year. Boom, what are your thoughts on Kruger tonight?

Honestly, really hard to judge him tonight. The Blackhawks barely played him and the guy just flew a ridiculous amount of hours over the last 48 hours. I thought he looked a little small out there but he was crashing the net hard and took some hits to make some plays. Hopefully we will get another good look at him on Saturday...a HUGE game versus a team just 1 point behind us.

    SHUT OUT!!!

Another solid performance both ways although I feel like we could have actually put up way more with all the looks we were getting it just seemed luck was on FL side for the first period or so. Then it seems like we finally were capitalizing.

Either way good solid home win and hopefully we can keep hammering wins out and not worry about standings and just do us and let everything else play itself out.

The thing that differentiates Towes from previous Hawk centers is his physical play, which I never expected when he first came up. He is one of the toughest centers I have ever seen and that would put him in a league with both Yzerman and Messier.

Last year at this time the Hawks played like they were a Jaguar X12 - hitting on all cylinders, all lines, great defense.

As I watched this game, I saw more hiccups and they are not controlling the puck like they did last year. Obviously, this is a different team.

That being said, I like what I see and if they can keep up this style of play against some of the better teams down the stretch, they will lock up a playoff spot and could be very dangerous.

^^^ Common man, get posting again! Where did you go?

    Thursday, March 24th

Ducks at Predators - rooting for a 2 point game. Might actually be best if the Preds win.
Blue Jackets at Coyotes - would be big for the Hawks it the Blue Jackets could win
Sharks at Kings - rooting for the Sharks.

Also, some real great games in the East to watch tonight. Penguins at Flyers is on NHL Network. Also a rematch of the Canadiens at Bruins...these two teams have had one hell of a year playing eachother.

Two guys who I thought stepped up big time last night...

Stalberg - had a nice goal and he even looked like Kane at times out there; pulling up and hitting the late man. Also used his speed nicely. Threw some nice hits (credited with 2).

Frolik - had a nice assist but most importantly he won 63% of his draws. He could work out very nicely as a second line center for us if he can win some faceoffs.

Last nights game was great. They looked good but we have to remember its Florida not exactly an elite team. Stalberg looked great, but i think those two can make anyone look good. That being said he was making things happen. It feels good to beat Vokoun he always shuts the hawks down. Sat vs the Ducks is a monster game... But if they show up and play like they did last night i like our chances. Go Hawks!

Hopefully with the playoffs coming up, and the hawks right in the middle of the hunt the board will pick up. I will do my best to post more frequently on here.
