I like the moves would have preferred we trade Raymond for more grit but why would anybody want him if we dont. These moves strenghen our fourth line and give us another option (Higgins) if we have a injury in the top six or just Raymond sucks.

Higgins deal is a decent depth one.... Lapierre is a better one.......

Truth be told, Higgins has been done since he left the Habs....decent 3rd /4th liner at best now though, and nice depth in case of injury.....

Exactly. He's garbage. I like the move for Lapierre a lot though.

Lapierre will be a nice addition. I really wish we had gotten someone more capable then Higgins for the second line. Getting someone like Penner (despite cap issues) would have been nice.

I did. I'm saying I would have loved to get Penner. Obviously not for the price. For us would have probably cost us like Schroeder and draft picks and that would have been ********. But yeah. Higgins hopefully can revive his career here.

We gave up nothing for Higgins, so I don't see the issue with the move.

Higgins just isn't really that good. I know all way gave up was Oberg and a 3rd round pick but Higgins isn't better than Raymond and we should keep our 3rd line intact. I dunno. Just seemed like a pointless deal.

That has nothing to do with it. My concerns are can they be enough to put us over the top as a cup contender. I still think we have a huge hole on that 2nd line that Higgins cant fill and we would have better off getting a better player.

And what will be your reaction when Higgins scores the game winning goal in the cup finals assisted by kesler and samuelsson?
