im not against the devils like almost everyother flyers fan but i feel the hole they dug themselves into in the beggining of the season is too much just by a little that they don't make it by 2 pts

idk its gonna be close im voting 9th seed just cuz this is a huge hole they dug themselves into....the good news is there showing that they will be a good team next year and keep into consideration there doing all of this without there best player imo parise

i hope. they are 9 points as of now, but we need teams like carolina, new york, buffalo, atlanta, toronto, and florida to lose. tough list but its possible

carolina panthers have a favorable schedule as in they have alot of home games.
NY rangers are 12 points ahead of us I think we have 2 games in hand but we only play them one more time. we need them to lose (ALOT)
Buffalo is the key, they are winning, they have more games to play than us and they will make the playoffs. Toronto Im not to worried about nor Florida. I say NY rangers and Buffalo make the payoffs 7&8 and then Carolina and then NJ Devs.
Only way we make it is if we win out maybe 1 loss and 2 ties but anything more were done.

It will only be close if the Devils keep playing this way and keeping winning with some losses from Buffalo, NY and Carolina.

Well we got another quality win against a strong Tampa team. We are now 9 back of Carolina and 10 back of the Rangers. We have one game in hand on the Canes and 2 on the Rangers. Playoffs are possible but Im thinking they need to win 15-16 of the remaining games. Anything is possible with this team. The next two weeks are huge. They get Pitt, and the Islanders, Thrashers, and Senators twice each. If they can win 6 out of 7 that would def make things interesting points wise. We really need Buff, Carolina, and the Rangers to lose obviously.

Yes I think Baffalo is going to make it, they are hot and have games in hand. Our only real shot is to hope NY loses 4 more games than we lose intill the end and hope Carolina's home court doesnt help them O yeah and on top of that hope Toronto gets off there little hot streek. Not to worried about ATL tho. We have a shot. Hopefully

and we should hope Baffalo beats Carolina but either way is ok with me, as long as they dont go to overtime. Lots of hopeing but its POSSIBLE!!

The Good, Bad and Ugly

The Good:
Minnesota 3 Final
NY Rangers 1 NY 16 games left with 70 Points

Ottawa 3 Final
Atlanta 1 ATL 17 games left with 63 points

The Ugly:
Toronto 3 Final
Philadelphia 2 Toronto 17 games left with 67 points

The Bad:
Buffalo 2 Final Buf 19 games left with 68 Points
Carolina 3 OT Car 17 games left with 71 Points

Worse case happend they both got points and Carolina won.

NJ Devils Have 19 games left with 60 points.

ATL its only a matter of a week or two untill we pass them, or sooner.
Toronto has a very hot hand right now. Can they keep it up? I hope not. However if we keep playing the way we do we will pass them around the end of March.
Its Looking like we have a chance to over take NY, we play them one more time we have games in hand and we are hot and they are not. I think we pass them about the same time as Toronto.
Carolina Has been playing great since we beat them. They will be tough to pass IF we do it, it will be in April, late April.
Buffalo is a team that we will not pass. They have games in hand and I just dont see us passing them.
So if everything adds up we have a chance and it seems everyday its getting better.
At first I thought it would be NY and buffalo. Well I changed my mind Im thinking Buffalo will take the 7th seed. The 8th seed will be up for grabs... I personal think its Carolina's to lose but with Toronto playing the way they are they are looking like a possibility. I think NY will fall out and ATL no way. We will be in a dog fight with Carolina and Toronto.
So who wants it more? Thats the question.

Also tomorrow is a big day for us.
Carolina is playing at Chicago and NY Rangers are playing at Ottawa.
If they both lose and NJ wins we will be 9 points out of 7th with 2 games in hand and 8 points out of 8th with 3 games in hand. Tomorrow could be a season changer for NJ.
