    Watching the Isles now, hard to believe essentially the same team had such a long 17 game winless streak earlier... they are not getting outplayed by anyone (other than counting normal amounts of "bad games" which all teams have)

    i know and they lead the league in 1 goal loses.
    matt moulson said he wished they won just 4-5 games during that stretch because that would put them on the border of playoff contention.
    i posted in one of these threads that if the season started for everyone the day that 1-17-3 stretch ended, the islanders would be in 4th place in the east.
