Who is your greatest vocalist of all-time?
In my opinion its Freddie Mercury. I mean the guys range that he could stretch his voice was just incredible and still such a shame that he died so young!

Freddie Mercury, Steve Perry, Geoff Tate all come to mind.
SF Giants, SF 49ers, Sac Kings since birth.
Freddie Mercury is a good choice.
Chris Cornell deserves a mention.
I actually thought of him at first too. My feeling for him have dampened over the years though, and his voice doesn't impress me much live (from the little I've witnessed).
it is probably Mercury or Robert Plant

Freddie is probably the best, but I also think Cornell is incredible.
Some other greats (imo): Roy Orbison, Brad Delp, Elvis (really think he's underrated), Robert Plant, McCartney
: psd :
I thought of:
1. Geoff Tate
2. Ray Alder
3. Bruce Dickinson
4. Lajon Witherspoon
5. Howard Jones
6. Anthony Keidis
7. Mike Patton
8. Gavin Hayes
Mike Patton has a **** ton of range.
The Amazing Delores. Hands down.

In all seriousness? Diamanda Galas. There's never been another soul on earth with a voice like that one:

Cornell might be the best studio vocalist ever, but he can't get it going live most times.
I love everything he does though. Tremendous musician.
