As we all know, Michael Grabner has become a ROY candidate, but it definitely will not be easy. Here are the top candidates:

Logan Couture: 57 GP, 24 G, 14 A, 38 P, +13, 17:53 TOI/G (17-12-29)

Jeff Skinner: 60 GP, 22 G, 24 A, 46 P, +1, 16:34 TOI/G (16-14-30)

Taylor Hall: 59 GP, 20 G, 18 A, 38 P, -7, 18:20 TOI/G (13-15-28)

Brad Marchand: 56 GP, 18 G, 15 , +23, 13:32 TOI/G (17-14-31)

Sergei Bobrovsky: 23-9-3, .919 save %, 2.44 GAA`

I had to listen to the Kings feed, a number of times they just gushed about Grabs and his speed... they said just get the puck within 10 feet of the guy and he is gone, and that once he goes and gets past the defense, no defense man has a chance of catching him ... They also said Isles in general were one of the fastest teams in the league, comparable with the best ... Interesting hearing that from the Kings announcers...Isles seem to be slowly gaining some respect...

It's true though, if he gets as many chances as he did last night every game there's no reason he can't score. 40....

On pace for 36 goals and 16 assists, but as you know, just 18 games ago he ws on pace for 19 goals and 6 assists. So if I were to venture a guess, his last 23 games will be closer to his last 18 than his first 37, so I think he will finish with about 38-40 goals and 18-20 assists.

And how about JT? On pace for 32 goals and 40 assits, what a beast.

Eh, I think Skinner brings home the Calder. He truly is one of the most underrated players in the league. Grabner's having a surprising rookie season though. Alot of people expected big rookie seasons from Taylor Hall, Logan Couture, and Jordan Eberle so it's no surprise there.

We all know Skinner has a good chance but no one in the NHL is hotter than Michael Grabner. Homerism aside, If he finished this season with 35+ goals not on the PP, I don't know if he cant win it. He's gettign much less TOI than Couture and Skinner, and if he got all the PP time they got (Grabner's averaging like 17 seconds per game) than I don't think anyone would be a favorite over Grabner

By the way, I think we can safely take Bobrovsky off the list. He's only got 36 starts right now, and Boucher is playign great. He can't win it if he only strts 45-50 games, it just wouldn't be fair.
