    2012 expectations for Ryan Theriot

Over the next 1-2 months, I'm going to ask you guys about your expectations for the players on this year's team. I'm going to try to get to most players on the projected 25 man roster. A new player will be posted in 2-3 days.

    Next player is Ryan Theriot.

    2009:

    PA: 677, Avg: .284, OBP: .343, SLG: .369, OPS: .712, WAR: 2.6

    2010:

    PA: 640, Avg: .270, OBP: .321, SLG: .312, OPS: .633, WAR: -0.1

    2011:

    PA: 483, Avg: .271, OBP: .321, SLG: .342, OPS: .663, WAR: 0.7

What kind of numbers are you expecting from The Riot this year? Include all relevant stats that you'd like.

As requested, Here's a template you could use:

    PA:
    AVG:
    HRs:
    RBIs:
    SBs:
    OBP:
    SLG:
    OPS:
    WAR:

    Previously projected players:

    Aubrey Huff
    Freddy Sanchez
    Brandon Crawford
    Pablo Sandoval
    Melky Cabrera
    Angel Pagan
    Nate Schierholtz
    Buster Posey
    Kings

.280/.335/.400, 10 SB. Numbers might seem high but he will mostly be facing lefties unless Crawford bombs out then Theriot would get more playing time.

From our experience, he's garbage. But he's better than Mark Ellis so you guys win that battle.

10HR? He's never hit more than 7 and will play in a stadium that sucks the power out of bats. He'll be a platoon guy. 10/50 is far fetched.

Please start him against lefties. .299/.355/.385 the last three years against lefties. Meanwhile is .268/.321/.327 against righties. Crawford was .133/.212/.233 against lefties and .217/.301/.307 against righties. Platoon makes complete sense here.

Anyways, I don't see our management platooning them, so I'll go with:

    .270/.320/.350
    40 R, 1 HR, 30 RBI

That was the plan from the start. Bochy doesn't want Crawford any where near a lefty.

I hope Theriot & Crawford platoon. It would make the most sense anyways.
