Mike Fisher is gone to Nashville? Wonder if Carrie Underwood had anything to do with that, her being a country music star....in Nashville! (hehe)

Saw the Ruuttu interview, when he was benched before the game in Vancouver. Obvious by the interview, how ticked off he was to be benched, saying that he loved it in Vancouver, the fans, the city, playing for the team, etc. Could he be headed our way again?

If we do acquire him, i think we need to do another trade afterwards. He'll be nice to have on the 4th line as a mainstay... but no secondary scoring.

I woudn't be too upset if Raymond was traded. The guy is soft, not very good with his balance, strength. Gets knocked off the puck easily, crashes into the boards often, misses a lot of open nets. Not sure he's the type of player we need to go deep into the playoffs with. We need toughness and durability, any big top 6 forwards out there that could be available?

If we could keep Mason on the 3rd line and find a way to get a top 6 forward that would be sweet. I dunno how feasible that is though.

    Probably wouldn't work cap wise

Some good names on the list. Would love to get a young guy like Voracek. He has a ton of talent and desperately needs a change of scenery. A guy like Hejduk would be nice for a cup run but I feel like he would only be a rental and would cost a lot of talent but he has a pretty nice cap hit for his talent. I have had Versteeg on my radar for like 3 or 4 years now so wouldn't oppose him. Would be really sweet to try to grab a player like Bogosian to replace Salo since I assume Salo is out after this year though we don't need defense really despite injuries. Definitely no reason to touch the old guys with huge contracts like Arnott and Kovalev. They are still good but cap wise its a bad idea even if its just until seasons end.

It's almost worth trading for Hejduk just so he dones't get to go against us... and of course he's having a very productive line would be very comfortable with him on that 2nd line.

Give me Voracek and McGinn. Solves a big issue with a nice mix winger and a top 6 forward. If we're going on defense alone Corvo. Hejduk would be a great addition, but sending him to Vancouver seems highly unlikely.

Swap Raymond and a prospect for Voracek. Trade a fourth for McGinn.

Or maybe it had to do with the fact that Legwand has been their starting major center since Arnott is gone. Lombardi has been out all season. They've also been playing Colin Wilson at wing a lot.

Meh. Voracek sucks. Same production as Raymond. Except lazy and not as good defensively.

Okay, it's time to acquire some defense. 3 of our 4 best Dmen are out... and we just can't go far with Aaron Rome Andrew Alberts and Chris Tanev all in the lineup. We need to acquire at least 1 top 4. Give up a 3rd.. it's not like we value the draft that much..
