This 2010-2011 Dallas Mavericks Championship Team. Everyone from Dirk to Dominique Jones. Favorite players ever.
Dirk is my favorite player all time hands down but non-Mavs?
In no order:
1. Dwight Howard
2. LeBron James
3. Kevin Durant
4. Gerald Wallace
5. Blake Griffin
1. Dirk Nowitzki
2. Michael Jordan
3. Hakeem Olajuwon
4. Oscar Robertson
5. Bill Russell/Larry Bird
I'll quickly list mine ...
Steve Nash- I just love watching him play
Vlade Divac & Chris Webber- I grew up on those early Kings teams and these two were by far my favorite players.
Carmelo Anthony- I've always liked watching Melo play. I hate the way he forced his way out of Denver but I still like watching him.
Tyreke Evans- Even after a down-year, I just hope he improves next year.

I hardly watched basketball during Jordans era just due to my age... but I did watch some games, and his legacy is far to great to not love the guys passion. Hes def a top 5, maybe even #1 as his work ethic continues to be an influence on me. Whether its watching old highlights or reading about his accomplishments.
Jason Kidd, I was an avid Nets follower. Thats where he had me sold... His maturity and his devotion to the game and bettering his life day in and day out. His play is unbelievable, his speed of course has slowed down. But nothing inspires me more than an older talented player using his knowledge of the game to continue to make a difference.
Kevin Durant. Such a modest kid, knows what it takes to get it done and he never gives up. Obviously such a talent scorer, but his attitude is what really inspires me. A true leader.
Patrick Ewing... Never one a ring is a shame, but to do what he did and never forgetting where his HOME is. He never gave up, and thought sometimes it just doesnt happen. He is a great player. A top 10 Center of all time, his attitude and his leadership is what made the Knicks in the 90's. A lion on the court, like an older version of Garnett. KInd of. haha
Dirk Nowitzki- Like I said, sadly I was never able to watch enough basketball in the 90's The best time of basketball in my opinion. 80 90s era. So thats why you dont see the lieks of Hakeeem or other legends. But Dirk deserves it all, he practices so hard. And sometimes it doesnt happen, sometimes 100% isnt enough. Yet its enough to be satisfied with ur career... yet, Dirk has more to be satisfied with. He led a underdog team through the playoffs and gave it his all on both sides of the ball.
I dont like the flare of one player but the fire in his eyes. The preperation and devotion that player gives to inproving his game and his life. These 5 guys all do that for me.
