I'd replace Wilt with Russell, Russell+Duncan=0 post points for the opposition.

So basically pick the best players at each position.

    Stockton
    Jordan
    Bird
    Rodman
    Hakeem

    I think I put a new 5 every time I do this.

If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.

I like that team with Rodman doing all the dirty work and Bird & Stockton for spacing

I think Bird is the only player in History to have dropped a team singlehandedly in a visitors arena and not only the fans, but the opposing bench cheered him on. That's Legend.

    i likte this

maybe put another center in there but cant go wrong with hakeem.

this is exactly what you need though
a pass first pg, the goat (no more words here), a great shooter/scorer,triple double threat with bird, a pf who does all the dirty work and is one of the best rebounders ever and a center who just controls the paint..

reggie miller or ray allen as 6th man and there you go

I would go with Jordan OR Bird. Not both. No need. Bird didn't really play much D either...

    Magic Johnson at Point
    Jordan at the 2
Scottie Pippen at the Small Forward position
    Tim Duncan at the 4
    Bill Russell as the anchor

--The only problem I see at first is a little lack of pure shooting. I can honestly care less. Each player has a game that compliments the other. I love the way scottie and michael play together, which is the reason I don't have Bird out there. I love Bird, he might be my favorite player of all-time but I just don't think he would fit as well onto my team.

The big men speak for themselves. Russell does everything you ask for and wouldn't be needed to score. Duncan is the best offensive forward of all time... he isn't that bad defensively either. Duncan gives you the ability to score in the post at will and both my big guys can match up defensively with any tandem in the league.

Magic at the point. He has size, quickness and court vision. He can feed the post, and get scottie going whenever needed. He can also put the team on his back if Michael is having an off-night. Magic is a proven winner, unlike some other guy I saw on here... *cough* John Stockton *cough*

Every one of these guys has won multiple title's (4 out of 5 of them as the main player on their team) but at the same time they are team players.

--As someone else said, I would take Reggie Miller as my 6th man. Instant offense off the bench and a true competitor.
