I have TOTALLY lost the range of motion in my arms. I tried three weeks in a row to do barbell squats and i just cannot get both arms behind my head to grip the bar. I didn't realize how bad this was until recently. I think I need a deep tissue massage. I'm forced to do either front squats or hack squats until i get my range back.
Yea that is definitely the reason then. You can get pretty flexible in just 2-3 weeks squatting once a week. Squeeze your scapulas together and grip the bar where it feels natural. Doing a little warm up with your shoulders beforehand should help.
Have to admit, had some up and down times, but one thing is for sure, I remained consistent!
I've switched my my routine weekly over the past few months which kept my body on edge and forced a response. Now I'm in the maintenance phase since it's summer time. I wanted that beach body for the summer and now I've got it!
