If US States Were Countries - Size of Economies
This chart from The Economist is really interesting.

It lays out a map of the US, labeling each state with the name of a country of the closest to its size in terms of its economy. Texas' economy is the size of Russia's for example, while Michigan's is (still) the size of Taiwan. Vermont logs in at the lowest total, with $25bn, while California has the highest at $1.9 trillion per year.
The alternate tab does the same thing, but for population.
