Scottie was never a top 2 player in the league. Pippen was never better than MJ, Hakeem, Robinson, Barkley, Malone in the 90's and most of the time not better than Ewing. Other times Drexler or Payton or Shaq or Penny or Stockton were even better. Hell he was only top 5 twice. Never finished higher than top 5 in MVP voting more than twice.

If I remember correcly, he and Dumars had a good relationship and he asked Joe to move him. I took it as him needing a change of scenery. Maybe he felt like Detroit fans had given up on him.

Hill was gonna leave no matter what and they did a sign and trade to try and get something for him.

I think it is insane for a guy like him to have left with the talent those Pistons had. Joe Dumars, Bison Dele to name a few guys on that team.

Well I think it was because Bo was a little bit better at the time and they felt having Grant Hill and the impending FA class that is all they needed.

He wasn't top 2 but he was better than Hill. Pippen was a huge reason why the Bulls won those titles.

Wow, a little shyt stirrer. Grant Hill was phenomenal. He was that generation's Lebron. Look at his numbers, he was a 22/8/7 guy in his prime. He was great. A true point forward. His D wasn't the best but it wasn't bad at all- solid defender. One of the best in the game when healthy. Its a shame for everyone that we were robbed of seeing him play because of all of the injuries.

He was important just like any 2nd option is on a team.

I just find it amazing that the Pistons couldn't put enough around Grant despite being a winning franchise before him and then after him.
