Matsko officially named the OL coach. I think that's a pretty good move, 37 years of coaching experience. I hope we stick primarily with zone blocking though.
THE BUZZ IS BACK!
They are looking at Shula as a QB Coach, and I read Ricky Proehl is talking to Rvivera about a spot on the team as WR coach. THAT woule be awesome, IMO!
I like Ricky Proehl as a WR coach. That's a good fit IMO. It's possible too that if he came on board he could be a calming influence on Smitty.

Yeah I definately would like Proehl and Shula. That would be 2 more great hires.
So that would leave us just needing a D-line coach, linebackers coach and running back coach right?
Mike Shula was officially hired. Also Mustachio, we would have to fill TE coach.

Okay, I knew I was forgetting someone. Bring in Wesley Walls. haha...
I think he would too.
Any word on potential WR coaches? We have a lot of young players at that position, so that's going to be an important coaching role.
EDIT: I just recalled seeing Ricky Proehl's name mentioned for that position in this thread... bad memory is bad.

I would love to see Ricky Proehl named WR coach
Ray Brown named assistant o-line coach

CHARLOTTE, NC - The Carolina Panthers announced Thursday that Scott Turner has been named offensive quality control coach.
Turner comes to Carolina from the University of Pittsburgh where he was wide receivers coach last season on Pitt’s Big East title sharing team. He was an offensive assistant for head coach Dave Wannstedt’s squad the two previous seasons.
He began his coaching career in 2005 as an administrative graduate assistant at Oregon State under Mike Riley after playing quarterback in college for John Robinson at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Earlier Sam Mills was retained by head coach Ron Rivera as the Panthers defensive quality control assistant.
Sounds like a solid hire, he's got the genetics for sure.
