Did he even have Georgia in his final three?

I always heard SC, Bama and Clemson.

I had not heard that Georgia was in the mix, thought those three were the only ones as well.

I've heard that Clowney has horrific grades, just wondering how in the hell he can qualify for college..

I was wondering why Notre Dame had zero interest in that kid. I guess I know now.

Someone close to the Clowney situation hinted that his grades were around the D range often. Of course, in the SEC if you can play football grades are overlooked. Once I saw that his grades sucked I knew Clemson wasn't going to get him, since they actually have a good school..and Notre Dame would never have worked out as well.

I'd like to add that South Carolina may be a good school(I have no clue), but the entrance requirements for SEC schools are consistently lower than other conferences, hence why Clowney could only play there most likely.

He was never going to Clemson. We were only dragged into this circus (hah) because ESPN wanted to turn it into an in-state battle between two rivals to increase their television ratings. Although, apparently his mom liked Dabo best.

And brady, South Carolina is not a very good school, it doesn't take too much to get in.

Yeah, Spurrier famously pitched a fit when South Carolina rejected a player that met NCAA Clearinghouse standards. He made certain that South Carolina will not consider itself an institute of higher learning before it considers itself an institute of mediocre football!
