You Bobcat fans sure do get some awful trades presented to you by other fans. I hope this isn't another:

AK and Fesenko for Diaw, Henderson and Nazr: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMa...radeId=4mxpead

Everyone knows Charlotte wants to keep Jackson & Wallace. And everyone knows Charlotte has Diaw firmly on the block so they can save on his $9 million for next season. AK is a natural PF and he's a better player than Diaw, Henderson or Nazr. Putting him in the starting lineup next to Jackson and Wallace gives Charlotte the best defensive starting unit in the entire NBA. Fes is a young expiring C who might need a change of scenery to reach his potential. It stings to lose Henderson, but shedding Diaw for expirings is worth it for a team needing to shed money. The Cats get to keep Jackson & Wallace to build around.

Utah was willing to take on Diaw this summer as part of that complicated Melo deal with NJ. So there's some level of interest there. Henderson would be a nice fit in Utah and Utah could use an experienced expiring center like Nazr.

    Thoughts?

I wouldn't mind gettin rid of Diaw, but not Henderson. He's looking like he could be our SG for the future

That's stupid cause Charlotte can't trade their 2011 1st rd pick because we traded our 2012 1st rd pick to Chicago.

We did. It was a protected pick and last year when we made the playoffs we lost protection of that pick. So that is why we didn't have a 1st round pick last year. If I am not mistaken Denver traded that pick earlier in the season and someone else got the pick.

Also, I think we traded that protected pick for what would become Ajinca.

I'm against trading picks but Cousins has star potential.

I'd do it even we had that pick. Cousins has scary potential, I think he's good kid and just needs some direction. He's going to get it together and he's going to be great, mark my words.

    # 16 - Minnesota receives a 2010 1st round pick from Denver (originally from Charlotte) for the rights to Ty Lawson (the 2009 #18 pick)

No way Memphis is trading Gasol away for that.

For Mayo this would be an easier trade since Memphis is trying to get rid of Thabeet. It also gives Memphis a solid starting SG.

For Charlotte, Mayo gives more young talent to the pool and a Thabeet is a project but has a manageable contract. Carroll can be wiped clean at the end of the year if he doesn't produce. He doesn't ever seem to get any run in Memphis.
