1990 Allstar Game - MVP for that game - Magic Johnson???

I didn't realize it until now, but it appears that Magic Johnson won Allstar MVP for that game despite the East winning 130 to 113.

How did this happen? It wasn't like his stats were off the charts?

Someone from the East should have definitely got it. I can see if the game was fairly close and the west lost, but they lost by 17 points. Should have gone to either MJ, Isiah or Ewing. Might have given to Ewing since Hakeem was 2-14 in the game. Must have done good on him.
