Am I the only one who is suprised at how they are playing right now? I thought they would suck this year. They still need to shore up the D and quit allowing so many shots on goal.

It's not the GM's problem that the owner has froze all spending and won't even spend up to the cap. The team has promise, has been drafting well, but they are to inconsistant from game to game to be real contenders.

Yep, they are still giving up way too many shots per game. It's better than last year, but still too many.

I was saying wait til the deadline to see what the return for Richards we get is. Of course this depends on where we are at the time.

It would be great the team could be sold or have a deal in place so that they could get Richards a new contract. Probably not gonna happen though.

I agree... It's such a difficult situation for the team to be in. On one hand they are having an amazing season so far and you don't want to trade away your best player. On the other hand it's highly unlikely they will be able to keep him in Dallas after this season so it's smart to get a big return for him.

Really though, would it be that bad if he was gone? Neal and Benn are stepping up big time, but they aren't centers. I don't see one we have in the pipeline that could replace Brad anytime soon, so on second thought, let's resign him.
