- Oregon running back Kenjon Barner has been released from Pullman Regional Hospital after spending the night following a scary collision against Washington State.
Oregon spokesman Dave Williford said in an e-mail Sunday that Barner was discharged and heading back to Eugene with an Oregon team physician.
Barner was hit at full speed by Washington State's Anthony Carpenter on a kickoff return during the first quarter in Oregon's 43-23 win on Saturday. Barner was tended to on the field for more 10 minutes on Saturday left the stadium in an ambulance. Medics brought out a backboard, but Barner eventually sat up and walked with assistance to a stretcher.
Barner is Oregon's third leading rusher on the season. The No. 2 Ducks are off until Oct. 21 when they host UCLA.
