    Minnesota Twins Write-Up
    Starting Pitching-
This staff truly has five guys that could be the ace of many teams, however the unquestioned leader is Ubaldo Jimenez. He is a top five pitcher in the game after posting a 2.88 ERA last year and winning 19 games for a non-playoff Rockie team. He will also benefit from moving from Coors Field to Target Field. Francisco Liriano reestablished himself as a true ace last year when he posted a 2.66 FIP to go along with a 3.62 ERA. He will continue to improve as his arm continues to recover from the Tommy John surgery. His slider is still as filthy as ever though. Fausto Carmona has been the ace of the Indians staff for a while now but he comes here and fits nicely into the #3 spot in the rotation. He will continue to eat innings and with a 3.77 ERA last year, he will be counted on to help Jimenez and Liriano lead the staff. Matt Garza has a ton of talent and has proven that he is capable of getting it done. He returns to Minnesota with a chip on his shoulder to prove that it was a mistake for them to trade him in the first place. Ervin Santana is not your typical #5 starter. He pitched over 222 innings last year with a ERA under four. Overall this rotation is as talented as any in the league and should be poised to lead the playoff run.

    Lineup-
Denard Span, Freddy Sanchez, and Joe Mauer will be in charge of getting on base for the power bats in the middle of the order. All three take pitches and make the pitcher work. Mauer is a perennial MVP candidate and is also one of the best defensive catchers in the game. Justin Morneau and Vladimir Guererro will be the top run producers on the club. Morneau was on his way to another MVP season last year before getting hurt. Guererro will provide him with ample protection and should continue the great hitting he did in Texas last season. Delmon Young has as much talent as any hitter in the game, but seemed like he'd never have that breakout year. Well he had it last year. He drove in 112 runs last year and will only improve with the added firepower around him. Michael Cuddyer and Jason Kubel will platoon in the 7 spot. Kubel has killed righties over the years and Cuddyer has done the same to lefties, so I have no concerns about this spot. Danny Valencia and Mike Aviles do not have as big of names as the rest of my line-up but they both hit over .300 last year and will be perfect in the 8-9 spots to get the line-up back to the top.

    Bullpen-
Joe Nathan is healthy this year and before his injury was arguably the best closer in baseball. Matt Capps is used to closing games and can step in if Nathan has a setback but he will really be nice to the 8th inning. Jose Mijares is one of the toughest relievers in the league on lefties and will be responsible for getting a tough lefty out late in the game. J.C. Romero returns to Minnesota and gives us a second high-quality lefty to go to. Pat Neshek was dominant as Joe Nathan's set-up man, now with a full 2 years of recovery time from his TJ surgery, he should be back ready to dominate. Kyle Farnsworth returned to his old form last year and should be an excellent middle reliever. Blake Wood is capable of doing any role out of the pen. He was the set-up guy in KC last year.

    Bench-
Michael Cuddyer or Jason Kubel will serve as an excellent pinch hitting option. Cuddyer can also play any position needed, besides shortstop and catcher. Mitch Maier is a speed option who will come in late as a defensive replacement in right field. Alexi Casilla can play shortstop, second, or third. He will be the primary pinch-runner and I am very comfortable starting him if I have to. Jeff Mathis is a good defensive catcher, who has experience catching Santana.

Alright, the team payrolls are giving me a bit of a hard time. I've gone to two different sites that have completely different payrolls for some teams, and I glanced over a 3rd that has different ones as well. What I want to do is have each team figure out their own payroll in their clubhouses, and ill compare those to the ones I found online and use whichever one seems most accurate. If you choose not to count your teams payroll, you'll have to go with the one I found, and I'm not going to change it in a week when you realize that you could have had a couple more million if you counted earlier. If you could have that done by Monday evening that'd be great, then we'll start arbitration.

Failed to reach his vesting option of 600 PA's in the 2010 season. 9 million option doesn't kick in, and he is officially a free agent

Just got a question about no-trade clauses. I'm going to be realistic. If you want to trade an aging veteran to a contender ill probably pass it. If you want to trade Jorge Posada to the Pirates to clear cap, not gonna happen.
