That'd be awesome......but.....if it's only to replace an inevitable loss of Pugh, then we're still ****ed. Need Pugh back AND Norwell.......and a LT.

If the contract really is going to be that big, it's concerning. They're gonna need to draft an NFL-ready lineman in the first 3 rounds.

    I assume Richburg is gone.

Bret Jones is going to start at C. He did well last year. Flowers came on, as well.

I like Jones fine, but he's no Richburg. Wonder if Eli will go back to calling protections.

Really not sure what we're going to be looking at on the line next year. We really need a LT before I feel good about it at all. Flowers could kill it at RG/RT in my opinion.

Panthers didn't have to tag Gano, they worked out a deal. Wonder if they will tag Norwell now. If they do, I doubt what this says.. happens. Fluid situation.

Get the talent 1st, then reconstruct later

Still need to keep Pugh IMO and still need a LT.

And I don't see them affording both Norwell and Pugh AND a new LT unless they can somehow draft an NFL-ready LT.

    What I want is:

new experienced LT - Norwell - Jones - Pugh - Flowers

What I think we'll end up with is (if Norwell is signed):

    Flowers-Norwell-Jones-?-?

Question marks being patchwork FA and draft additions. This oline might be less of "lets get 2 guys and fix it" and more of "let's rebuild over the next 2 offseasons".

I like this. I think he'll be expensive, around that 12M figure we imagine right now, but I don't think that bothers me that much. Sad to say, but Pugh is likely gone. Richburg should be much cheaper, he's only a C, coming off an injured year, unlike Pugh who could very likely see either RT or top G money. Plus, I feel like Jones is Hart 2.0. When he was asked to fill in he did just okay enough that we all thought he could develop into a starter, but when he will asked to be that, he'll get back to being below average.

I would like to see something like LT-Norwell-Richburg-Fluker-RT. Fluker played pretty well, his contribution at least in the running game was there. Preferably we should go after a relatively cheap veteran to start at RT, then draft a LT in the 2nd round. Maybe even trade up back in the 1st if the price is right to do so. I like Kolton Miller plenty, and he looks pretty NFL-ready.

LT- Norwell-Jones-Flowers-Pugh heading into the draft would be nice. Sign Pugh for 9 mill. Restructure some guys cut Marshall (unless he comes back for the min) and Harris sign Zach brown.

If this story is true perhaps they can also bring back Pugh to play LT and then trade down and draft Nelson. I think Pugh has the flexibility and ability to be a very good LT, and I still think Flowers could dominate at RT.

    Pugh-Norwell-Jones-Nelson-Flowers

I think that could be a great line.

If that’s the case they are probably drafting a QB at 2. If they can’t get the line in shape to compete right away they can’t bank much on what’s left of Eli.
