    Recruit me

I am a Jets, Islanders, Knicks and Mets fan from England and I am looking for a college team to support in the New York area.

The only team I know is Syracuse which is fair enough but I just wondered what other teams there are and why I should support them?

Can you sell your school to me? Just a bit of fun....

Boston College would be a decent choice.

There really isnt much in that area to be honest.

BC, Rutgers, Syracuse, Buffalo, Temple are about the only ones I can think of near NY.

Or you could be like most people from NY, and root for the Irish.

Now that I understand how it works it kind of makes sense.

They don't have to worry about being in a weak conference which is what winds me up about college football.

Rutgers has a solid foundation right now with coach Schiano.

They're a fairly young team, but Schiano is a great recruiter, and has ties to the state of Florida. He'll have that team competing for the Big East year in and year out...if he stays at Rutgers that is.

+1 Rutgers or UCONN, both are programs on the rise. Uconn comes to the Big House for our season opener next year, huge game for them.
