I'll start off with some homer picks... Jerome Bettis, Hines Ward (boarderline), Big Ben (if he keeps winning, and stops raping), Alan Fanaca, Troy
Brian Dawkins, Kurt Warner, Edge, Marvin Harrison, Peyton, Brady, C-Mart, Strahan, Peppers, Jason Taylor, Kevin Mawae, Adam Vinateri, Favre, Ogden, Pace, Ray Lewis
And again, on the homerish side... How the hell are LC Greenwood and Dermonti Dawson not in The Hall?
i forgot to include
Probably missed some guys.
Way too early on Aaron Rogers, Adrian Peterson and Maurice Jones-Drew.
Donovan McNabb is borderline. If he gets in then Kurt Warner better get in.... McNabb doesn't have huge numbers or a Super Bowl.
Anquan Boldin doesn't have a good chance considering the era he is playing in receivers can put up huge numbers and he is on an offense where his production will drop.
Steven Jackson won't get in his numbers are bland in comparison to others. He pretty much has averaged a little over 1000 yards and 7 touchdowns per season for his career. That isn't gonna get you into the Hall of Fame. He has also already showed signs of slowing down and injuries.
Urlacher isn't a long shot at all...
he could easily be the only linebacker- ever- with 50 sacks and 20 ints, and the most tackles of all time on the team with the most hall of famers.
QB- Warner, Brady, P. Manning (added the P. because there are boneheads that would think I meant both Mannings)
RB- Tomlinson, Shaun Alexander, Bettis, Faulk, Curtis Martin
WR- Moss, T.O., Cris Carter, Tim Brown, Marvin Harrison, Issac Bruce
TE- Gates, Gonzales
T- Ogden, Walter Jones
G- Faneca, Snee, Hutchenson
DE- Freeney, Strahan, Jason Taylor,
DT- Kris Jenkins, Sapp
OLB- Derrick Brooks
MLB- Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher, Zach Thomas
CB- Champ, Woodson
S- Reed, Dawkins, Sharper
On the cusp (few more years)/ Debatable:
QB- Rivers, Brees, McNabb
RB- Peterson, Tiki Barber
WR- Tory Holt, Reggie Wayne, Chad Johnson/Ochocinco (which is actually eight five, not eighty-five), Hines Ward
DE- Peepers, Jared Allen
DT- Kevin Williams
OLB- DeMarcus Ware
CB- Ronde Barber
Feel free to add (esp to the O line) or debate
Two gripes about the HOF-
1. How are kickers and punters not in it? As John Madden likes to say, "Special Teams are 1/3 of the game."
2. What are with the snubs of Cris Carter (who will eventually get in) and Ricky Watters (an all time favorite of mine)?
If you want to take it one step further theres a slim chance he can be the first ever player to be the 40/30/20 club.
Which is 40 sacks/30 interceptions/20 FF. He currently has 15.
Future Baltimore Raven
I didn't realize Ocho is probably gonna finish with 900 catches. That might put him in 1 day down the line.
