michael c. hall was amazing this episode... i really could feel dexter's torn, conflicted "i'm an emotionless serial killer but also a grieving widow/father" angle, which i thought he portrayed beautifully. he really is a top-tier actor right now.
unfortunately, the rest of the cast still sucks. when laguerta and batista make deb look good, you know we're in for a long season. like others have said, deb's character runs around in circles. she's like nancy botwin. that's not her fault, but she doesn't help it out much by being a terrible actress. she's lucky she ****s the star of this show...
episode MVP goes to masuka for saying what everyone was thinking at the crime scene: "i always pictured rita naked... just not like this"
