Taking Pippen's stats from his rookie year to his 13th season (88-00), and taking all of Lebron's years.

Well, there career percentages are here:

    http://www.basketball-reference.com/...esle01&y2=2010

    Lebron's better in: ts%, eFG%, ast%, tov%, blk% usg% ORtg, OWS (in 6 less seasons) and only behind <10WS as well

Pippen's better in: reb%, stl%, DRtg, DWS, and WS (although playing 417 more games)

And Lebron did so while being the first option.
    Lebron is better, much better.

It's LeBron, come on now. I love Pip as much as anyone but LeBron will end up being Top 15, most likely Top 10. He kind of demolished his bid for no.1 though.

If this isn't nearly 100% Lebron, it is a homers poll (and I am normally a homer).

Scottie was an obvious Hall of Famer, but Lebron has a chance to be one of the top two or three players of this decade. Had the poll been Lebron versus Durant we could have a debate, but Lebron is way, way better than Pippen.

    Jordan's still the man though.

Pip has way more intangibles and a lot better leader. But it's hard to argue Pip was better. Bron will go down as top 10-15, probably. Pip is underrrated but probably top 20 or somewhere around that range.

    Top 20 is pushing it:

    Jordan
    Johnson
    Bird
    Shaq
    Duncan
    Hakeem
    Kareem
    James
    Robertson
    Bryant
    Barkley
    K. Malone
    M. Malone
    Stockton
    Thomas
    Wilt
    Russell
    Robinson
(I know not 20 but i couldn't think of any others off the top of my head )

I mean, it's really hard to put the whole list of "top 50" players in order. There would be thousands of different combinations. I agree Pippen is underrated, but top-20? I don't think so.

I don't know. With Pippen it's very hard to judge cause he is the ultimate example of a guy that you can't judge purely by stats. He played the role of the playmaker at the triangle, and as such wasn't able to necessarily put up as crazy stats as he is capable of. Hell, when Pippen was number one option on the Bulls, he was legit candidate for MVP. Especially when you consider that Pippen's greatest attributes were playmaking and defense (two very difficult to measure with stats), it's hard to say. I definitely don't feel like PER or win shares would do justice to just how good he was. I definitely think he can be anywhere from 20-30.
