Freddie Freeman is a 20 year old first baseman chosen in the 2nd round of the 2007 amatuer draft, and yes that is the same year the Braves took Heyward. He is ranked as a top 30 MLB prospect and top 5 in Braves organization. This year he has put up great numbers in AAA:
.319 BA / 18 HRs / 87 RBIs / .378 OBP / .521 SLG / .898 OPS and he also has a great glove. His debut is tonight against the Mets and is batting 6th playing 1st.
Any player he reminds you of? Todd Helton for me
Might want to pick him up in some keeper fantasy leagues..Kid is a stud!Originally posted by WRENCH Freeman got the ROY this season in the IL league, looking back at the last 10 years of who got it and it seems to be a good list. Chipper won it in 1993.
