    Kings Sign Willie Mitchell

    http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angele...ory?id=5497866

This should shore up the blue line a bit. A stay at home defender kind of like what we lost in Sean O'Donnell. I remember hearing people saying that Mitchell being injured was a reason the Canucks didn't advance further in the playoffs. I also think I remember (I could be wrong) that Mitchell was wearing an A for them at one point.

Once Greene gets healthy we'll have Doughty, Johnson, Greene, Mitchell, Scuderi and then whoever else. Maybe Drewiske or Harold but I'd like to see this Hickey kid.

    Thoughts?

If he stays healthy this should work out to be a good signing.

^ I agree and glad to see them sign him. I hope they still get a top line scorer some how.

I agree, unfortunately that's not looking like it's gonna be Kovalchuk. Ponikarovsky did pretty well playing most of the year for a bad team so we'll see with him. You also never know what might become available at the deadline.

He is a very good signing.

The team should be contending for the Cup this year and should go deep in the playoffs.

I like our chances this year.

Rumor is that if the Flames are out of it come February that Iginla will be available and that the Kings would be a perfect fit. That, to me, would be the last piece of the puzzle.

I honestly think we need someone like Simone Gagne. he's a sharpshooter who has experience to bring to this young team. I think someone like that is what the team is missing personally.
