I dont get this argument. Its above replacement player and that replacement player changes. So it takes how well you are above average or replacement, so it should work for all years all the time.

Unless you are looking for players that are just good, and in that case no player would ever be taken before 1960. Because honestly I doubt Babe Ruth would be anyone special in this day and age.
