With the deepest of regrets I am announcing that I will be leaving Pro Sports Daily. No reason in particular but wanted to thank everyone for a great 6 years here. Lots of great discussion and good poll series as well. Also fun re-drafts. Best of luck to you all in the future.

Apparently, you're the only one in this thread (along with the OP) that gets it. Stanton has clearly vaulted ahead of Heyward.

Props to Mane for the sig.

Honarable Mention: David Freese could have been mentioned in the ROY discussion if he had remained healthy.

LOL at no mention of ike davis. the guy has just as many homers as heyward. and his average is at .250 bc of a terrible slump. but he was at .270 most of the season. he has insane power in the biggest field in the majors. he is already a gold glove caliber first baseman. and he has 4 walk off hits.

    Hmmm, far better year?

    Sanchez has a 2.5 WAR
    Davis has a 2.8 WAR

.....so how is Sanchez having a far better year?

sanchez is also 3.5 years older than ike

he's been a better hitter (.355 wOBA to ike's .345) but ike's phenomenal defense has to be considered as well.

Jim: Oh, I'm engaged to Pam.
Creed: I thought you were gay.
Jim: Then why would you want to set me up with your daughter?
    Creed: I don't know.

Davis has had about as much value offensively this season as Ronny Cedeno.

Well his slump probably is going to make his average stay that low cause I dont see him getting hot at all for the rest of this season

Davis does not deserve to be in this discussion, but Jon Niese does at least deserve an honorable mention.
