morrow. a not hitter is really not that impressive when you give up 10 base runners

Morrow's performance was off the charts. Jackson's was nothing special. 17 strikeouts and 2 walks is dominating. Jackson was not dominating.

I'm going with Morrow. At the end of the day Jackson will be the one going in the history books with the no hitter, but the fact that it took him 149 pitches and he walked 8 (!) makes it less impressive.

    Homer alert!

Jon Niese threw a 1 hit CG (0BB, 6Ks) in 108 pitches and the hit was some bloop ********, I believe. Jackson was EXTREMELY lucky.

    Morrow's was better.
With the deepest of regrets I am announcing that I will be leaving Pro Sports Daily. No reason in particular but wanted to thank everyone for a great 6 years here. Lots of great discussion and good poll series as well. Also fun re-drafts. Best of luck to you all in the future.

Brandon Morrow arguably had the best pitching performance of the year. I'm going with him. But I feel that Jackson's accomplishment is being underrated here, by a little bit. Doesn't matter how many you walk, a no-hitter is a no-hitter.

according to ESPN's (based on Bill James's formula), Jackson's no hitter was tied for the 39th best performance by a pitcher this year (morrow was first)

To the amount of 1 hitters there has been in the game and the amount of names hanging in the HOF Jackson just gets more respect.
