Yet, Lackey and Bucholtz are aces? And you count Dice K by "Saying paid like a all star" lol nice logic. Go away Sox homer, your team is about to fall to 4th.
oh sorry.... i thought you said he was a 2 or 3 starter

Believe it or not the Dodgers actually have like 5 guys with ERA's under 4 now.

    Kershaw, Lilly, Kuroda, Billingsley, Padilla.

Padilla has been pitching awesome since coming back from the DL. Kershaw and Lilly are always doing great.

Billingsley just pitched 24 shut out innings in a row and would have had more if a DP had been turned. Kuroda is solid.

    Buccholz and lester I agree...

    Dice K who?
Everyone i'm not saying that lackey and beckett r as good as they were a few years ago. However, they wer both aces as of last year or (beckett) the year b4. They hav both pitched better as of late and could possibly get back to the elite level (this year). I'd take either in the playoffs. Dice-k on the other hand was a joke but yea i'd take him as a 5th starter.

    bottom line Philly>atlanta

    boston>over philly

possibly get injured also..lol... So anything can happen..
Take either in the playoffs? gotta make the wild card first..

Bottom line...both teams make the playoffs...

As a whole I agree with you that Bostons rotation is better..If 5 pitchers...
If top 3 only I'll take the Phillies this year..

If ur saying which of those is the best rotation in the game neither. Boston by far not being a homer.

    Lester (all star)
    Beckett (ace)
    Lackey (ace)
    Matsuzaka (paid lik an ace)
Buchholz (all star and arguably ace of the staff with Lester this year)
    Lester (ACE)
    Beckett (pitching like a #5)
Lackey (pitching like a huge FA bust)
Matsuzaka (paid like an ace, pitches like a #3)
Buchholz (all star, on the verge of being a #1 type pitcher with a larger sample size of his current success)

Buchholz and Lester are on the verge of being the best 1-2 combo in baseball. The rest of the staff is very average to below average this year.

as far as the orignal comparison goes, i'd sayt the phillies roation is better. halladay and oswalt is a scary 1 2 punch, possibly the best in baseball, and they are pretty strong all the way down
