    SOS our rotation needs help.

We need to call Houston and send Andy Oliver and prospects for Wandy Rodriguez. We need another quality starter and they're one of the few teams that will trade since they're clearly out of it.

Keep Furbush and Turner but everyone else should be negotiable.

Ugh the offense in the minor leagues is embarrassing. Good thing DD drafted some offensive players this year, maybe we can finally build up some young hitters.

And I'd go as far as to say the last one really was Tram.

And sadly, that was back in the late 70s and early 80s.

I must have missed his name in the Tigers box score the past couple of years.

Just a bit of a follow up on Chance Ruffin. Since his call-up to Toledo, he is 5/6 in saves in 7 innings with a 2.57 era, 3BB-10K's, and a .207 opponent average against.

Small sample size perhaps, but he certainly isn't struggling down there. I'd bet we see him this year, after either another injury, or at the very least September.

Ruffin better not be traded. I think he's our CL next season if we don't resign Valverde.

Doubtful. They would go with Alburquerque or Benoit before Ruffin.

Neither would be successful. Smokin' Al only has 1 pitch and he's better suited to pitch to 1 or 2 batters in the 6th or 7th. Benoit just plain sucks.

Valverde has an option....I'll be shocked if he doesn't return.

There is noway DD will start the season with a rookie (with no ML experience) as our closer.

As many sliders as Al throws....its going to be difficult for him to stay healthy of the course of a season

You dont count a mid to high 90's fastball as a pitch?

As Klane said, there is no way DD annoints Ruffin as the closer next season. Ryan Perry was supposed to be closer of the future when we drafted him in the 1st rd yet who got the closer job in Perry's first season? Fernando Rodney...who was awful the previous year.
