I forgot how good Vidic was. Hopefully he'll be able to stay on the pitch when he comes back from this injury. Johnny Evans, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones will learn loads if they get the chance to play next to Nemanja.

About the last game ... i always enjoy the league cup, it gives me a chance to see what our young ones are all about.
De Gea looked shaky and the goal he conceded what soft(his areal game needs a lot of improving)
The young back 4 looked decent/good. Is was only when Cisse came in, they started to shake a little, but the african physical presence was too much for some 20 year olds
Ando looked fat, he needs to lose some kg, at least his goal was superb.
Fletch and Rooney got some serious minutes under their belt, i bet it will do wonders for their fitness levels.
Clev finally got his goal..hurray !
Chicha ,,,, once again showed that he`s nothing more than o poacher...and his best role is coming of the bench and snatching that much needed goal (aka Solskjaer).
I wanted to see Powell starting and maybe the chilian striker(Abel Hernandez), maybe next time.
And the next time it will be against Chelski...it will be interesting what squad SAF will use - the youngster or the 1st team.
    Till the next game, cheers

Dont think you can call him the next scholes. He cant and will never pass the way scholes does. Through balls and great theres no hesitation but he really dont have that 20+ yard pass in him. Shame his best position is the same as Kagawa's

Cleverley is a great passer but he doesn't have the shooting or tenacity of Scholes. I can't believe he tried to suggest he meant that goal vs. Newcastle after the sitters he's missed for England and United

Cleverley has a nice future ahead of him. There's already talk of us giving him an improved contract due to his good season start.

Great win over Stoke. The RVP-Rooney partnership is steadily improving each match. Welbeck was also solid too for a change.
