Montreal acquires Dan Ellis From Nashville Kostitsyn shipped out

The Montreal Canadiens have traded forward Sergei Kostitsyn to the Nashville Predators for goaltender Dan Ellis and forward Dustin Boyd.

Both clubs exchanged future considerations as well. All three players’ current contracts expire on Thursday, July 1.

Should be an excellent trade for Mtl if they sign both of them Boyd will fill the void moore will be leaving via free agency and Ellis should be a steller back up for Price

I still dont agree on choosing Price over Halak they should have waited a little more and got an established forward maybe Philly with Jeff Carter ohh well it is too late anyways! Good trade for Montreal as Dan Ellis will bring competition to a motivated Carey Price

Great trade for Montreal. I really think Montreal has a strong chance at landing a contract with the both of them. Boyd played very well in his time with Nashville.
