How can anyone think stepbrothers is the most overrated movie of all time? I mean in order for a movie to be "overrated" it must first be "highly rated".

Avatar was pretty amazing in the theater, but seeing it for the second time at home, I really saw how empty the movie actually was.

Cloverfield, shaky camera gave me a headache and the characters were so stupid, that I actually wanted them to die in the movie.

From what I've noticed, most people I know who have never done/been involved in cocaine or something similar think it's very over-rated while those who aren't exactly on the right side of the law love it. Personally, I just don't think it's aged very well at all.
As for an over-rated movie, while I think the first Spiderman was really good, the people around me hyped it to no end so that's the first movie that comes to mind when I hear the word overrated.
