I put Fielder on mine, both are at least top 15, but 5-15 is pretty open.

These threads are so pointless. It is just an opportunity for some homer to grab some of moms lotion, a box of tissues, the latest media guide for their team, and slink into their room for some quality time with Herman the one eyed German.

As much as it pains me to say it without looking at anything Braun should be on there......even though he is the biggest douche alive.

Keep in mind it was a homer selection. These threads are just chances to promote your teams players. I am still laughing about Martin Prado.

I wonder if there is a way to somehow print this post onto soft paper and use it as toilet paper.

His batting average may not be all that great this year but last year he was second in RBIs behind Pujols and has always shown he can produce the long ball in the clutch. Career .281 BA and .382 OBP

At first glance, Youk def needs to be in there over Vlad. Youk's 6th in wOBA over the last 3 calendar years and 2nd in the batting component of WAR.

Take Votto out too, he hasn't been around long enough (since I'm assuming this isn't just this year). He doesn't have 3 years worth of data. You could put Holliday in instead.

No, this is the best hitters now - not over the last 3 years. If that were the case then Berkman would be in there and Braun would be out, which would make no sense. Votto was 5th in TAv in 2009 while Youkilis was 16th. Youk is also in his age 31 season (a decline year) while Votto is in his age 26 (almost at his peak).

Vlad had an injury-plagued season in 2009 but he's a Hall of Famer having an excellent season. He is quite easily a top 10 hitter right now. The only difficulty I have with my list was whether Utley, Teixeira, or Mauer should be 10th. I settled on Utley because he best combined power with on base abilities (Mauer is lacking in power while Teixeira lacking in OBP, relative to their elite hitting class).
